A Typsy Flypsy Devotion to Maximalist Wallpaper

Ello my little flamingos!

I’ve found myself daydreaming A LOT about maximalist

wallpaper lately and I think I finally know why. The more I think about it, the more I realize how spirited it is, which is probably why my heart sings everytime I see

it. Also probably why I’m obsessed with it.

In fact, if I were a wallpaper I would be maximalist, fo sho!

If you’re wondering what the heck maximalist wallpaper is, don’t worry I’ve got you covered. I love it so much that I am dedicating an entire mini-blog to it.

Maximalist wallpaper is….

If I had to give this wallpaper one name, it would be playful. But it’s definitely more than that.

This kind of wallpaper provides depth and boldness for any room it’s placed in.

It can be described as vivid, bold, rich, and lifegiving!

Its bursting colors and layered patterns makes me feel as if I am in an upside down world where I actually speak a kaleidoscopic language.

And onlookers can’t help but be enchanted by it.

If you like this style, you most likely enjoy creating a wow factor either in your home or office space.

Here are a couple of ways to embellish maximalist wallpaper if you find yourself in love with it as much as me…

  • Add texture - Layer pillows, blankets, books, and other accessories. When it comes to texture, it’s all about the details. You can even bring in plants and fabrics to enhance texture in a room.

  • Personalize it - Add what you love. Maximalist wallpaper is all about cheer. So add what you love to it! Whether it's your favorite fixtures, books, art, and even more color.

More is truly more with maximalist wallpaper!

Ultimately you have to get into the mindset of: The more the better, go big or go home, and more is more! Essentially, it’s the opposite of minimalism. However, just because you like maximalist wallpaper doesn’t mean your entire space needs to be maximalist.

It is possible for the two to have a successful marriage.

Are you a ... ?

Until next time,
